Birthday
It is my birthday today, and by some weird twist of fate, they are showing the house for the first time. Steadily moving towards homelessness.

This tumblr has been essentially inconsistently used and random.
I learned 5 days ago that my family would losing our housing in the midst of a great housing crisis in Minot. Simultaneously, I have agreed to record an ‘anthology’ of songs for Mr. Rick Watson. It is a record I am pretty excited to make, and the space in which I am going to make it is uncertain, which is a little frightening and a little exhilarating.
In this space I will chronicle in words, pictures, and sounds this process as we relocate and this record comes to life. Sometimes it will be angry, sometimes it will be maudlin, and sometimes it will only appeal to audio engineers. I can only hope it will be interesting.
enjoy.

“All this talkin’ all the time and the air fills up, up, up/Until there’s nothin’ left to breathe”
I was seated on a dirty beige couch, broad windows at my back, looking out towards the train tracks and a Fed-Ex sorting plant/truck dumping grounds. There was a streetlamp casting warm shadows on…This is so heart breaking.
Amazing, Jake.
